Capabilities
What we deliver
-
System integration
Connecting ERPs, warehouse management systems, IoT platforms, government systems and legacy applications to remove duplicate entry — such as our in-house DL2007 railway black box, which reads onboard devices over RS232 and decodes them with AI.
-
API development
RESTful APIs, webhooks and SDK design with documentation, versioning and access control.
-
Middleware & message queues
RabbitMQ and similar middleware for high-throughput data and asynchronous workflows, designed with layered defence.
-
Data synchronisation & migration
Real-time and batch sync, ETL and legacy migration without disrupting operations during transition.
-
Real-time data platforms
Aggregating sensors, devices and business systems into a real-time platform for monitoring and analytics.
-
Monitoring & maintenance
API availability monitoring, alerting and 24/7 support to keep critical integrations running.
Solution details
Case: instant goods dimension measurement
We built a real-time goods dimension measurement system for the logistics industry with a custom API for warehouse management system (WMS) data exchange — goods are measured on arrival and flow straight into warehouse processes, removing manual entry and re-measurement.
Case: the DL2007 railway black box and a 200+ train platform
We designed and produced the DL2007 railway black box in-house. It passed EN50155 testing and collects onboard device data over traditional RS232 serial interfaces, decoding and analysing it with AI. Data is uploaded through encrypted channels to our cloud platform, now covering more than 200 trains across Hong Kong — continuously capturing data and analysing onboard alarms so operators know asset status without visiting the site.
Middleware and security
When integrating multiple systems, we commonly use message queues for asynchronous workflows and design security with a layered-defence principle — even if components such as RabbitMQ face a known vulnerability, buffering and isolation protect the core systems.
Why GNS
- In-house hardware, software and networking expertise makes integrations more complete
- Proven large-scale data integration (railway, logistics, government)
- Full API documentation and versioning
- 24/7 monitoring support after go-live

FAQ
Service questions
Can you integrate with legacy systems?
Yes. We connect legacy systems via APIs, middleware and data migration — and when no API exists, we integrate at the database layer or through file exchange.
How long does API development take?
A single integration typically takes 2–6 weeks; platform integrations spanning many systems are delivered in phases with a pilot first.
How is data security ensured?
All APIs support TLS encryption, key/token authentication and access control, and are developed and operated under ISO/IEC 27001 processes.
Do you support real-time data?
Yes. We provide real-time APIs, webhooks or message-queue architectures, selecting the right design for your data volume and latency requirements.
